Bring Mindfulness to Life

with the Mindfulness Ambassador Program

An interactive, small-group online mindfulness program designed to help you cultivate mindfulness not just as a practice, but a way of life.

About the Mindfulness Ambassador Program

This isn’t a course where you’ll be “taught at.”

You’ll be invited to actively engage – by trying practices, reflecting on mindfulness concepts, and sharing your own insights in conversation with the group.

Each week, we focus on a new aspect of mindfulness – from focused attention and mind–body connection, to emotional intelligence and compassion (and more).

We’ll look at what these concepts really mean in daily life and how they show up in your own experience.

You’ll learn from your own experiences and from the wisdom of the group.

Between sessions, you’ll take away simple practices to integrate into daily life. Every week, we check in on how it’s going – celebrating wins, exploring challenges, and keeping one another accountable.

An interactive experience bringing mindfulness to life through practice, reflection, and conversation.

A Strong Foundation

A deeper understanding of mindfulness, not just as a technique, but as a way that can guide your daily life.

A Lasting Practice

A sustainable personal practice that you can keep returning to long after the program ends.

Emotional Resilience

An increased capacity to reflect, regulate, respond in ways that support your well-being and your connections with others.

Mindful Leadership

The confidence to be an “ambassador” of mindfulness, naturally inspiring presence, authenticity, and compassion in those around them.

Community in Practice

The feeling of connection to others on a similar path that you can carry with you as your practice continues.

Or

In Their Words

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is paying attention to what is happening in the present moment: in your body, your thoughts, your feelings, and your surroundings. And doing so without judgment or trying to change it or fix it. Mindfulness helps you see events as they unfold, rather than reacting out of habit or expectation.

What Does Mindfulness Help With?

With practice, mindfulness strengthens focus, reduces reactivity, and helps you move through daily life with more steadiness, clarity, and connection to yourself and others.

Why Mindfulness, Why Now?

Mindfulness is often seen as a buzzword. But how can it be just a trend when it helps us live with more awareness, authenticity, and compassion? It’s not a magic pill, despite what its buzzword status might suggest. It takes effort and can feel uncomfortable. Stress and challenges will still be part of life. Yet it offers a way to navigate our lives with greater steadiness, perspective, and resilience. In an unpredictable and disconnected world, this isn’t just useful - it’s essential.

I enjoy working with healthcare professionals, guiding them to bring mindfulness into their practice and into their own lives.

I believe that when clinicians feel authentic, balanced, and grounded in their work, the ripple effect is felt by everyone they serve.

How This Mindfulness Program Came to Be

Small Shift, big impact

When the pandemic forced physiotherapy clinics to close, I saw it as an opportunity. I had been unhappy with my work for a while. I felt drained and unfulfilled.

I didn’t know what needed to change, only that something had to.

I started exploring mindfulness more intentionally. I had wanted to build a regular meditation practice for years, and this finally felt like the right time. I enrolled in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program, intending to bring what I learned into my physio practice.

On Day 1, my plan was flipped on its head. The instructor invited us to leave our professional identities at the door and simply show up as participants, not as providers. I resisted at first, eager to absorb as much as possible for my clients.

But something in me said, let go. So, I did.

This changed everything. I allowed myself to fully experience mindfulness. Not as a tool for others, but as a way of living.

I learned how to connect with my breath, how stress shows up in my behaviours, and ways to ground myself in the moment. I realized that mindfulness was a way of being, and not just a meditation practice. It helped me go back to work feeling steadier, with greater purpose, and a healthier perspective.

Only once I had embodied mindfulness myself did I feel ready to share it with others.

That’s when I chose to train as a facilitator in the Mindfulness Ambassador Program. I was drawn to its accessible practices, its structure that honours the wisdom of every participant, and its potential for a ripple effect: supporting people not just to practice mindfulness, but to inspire it in others.

FAQ

Yes, this program is suitable for beginners – we start with the basics, keep the practices approachable, and build week to week. The small-group setting creates a supportive environment where you can reflect and share without pressure. The pace also allows time for you to integrate the concepts and practices into your daily life.

Yes. Even if you have an established practice, this program offers something different. With a focus on reflection and discussion within a supportive group, you’re given the chance to explore mindfulness concepts more deeply and learn from the experiences of others. Many participants find that hearing different perspectives and sharing their own insights enriches their existing practice.

No, the online sessions will not be recorded. The program is highly interactive where participants are encouraged to share their own experiences. Recording sessions can take away from the safe and open environment we aim to create within the group.

Attendance at each of the weekly sessions is highly encouraged to get the most benefit out of the program and to maintain the supportive group environment. If you know in advance that you’re going to miss more than 2 sessions, it’s best to join the waitlist for the next available running of the program. If you have to miss a session unexpectedly, I’ll help you stay connected to the content and the take-away practices so you can keep up with the group as much as possible.

The exact day and time of the practice sessions will be determined on the first call. We will go with a day and time that works for the majority of the group. These calls will be optional.

Absolutely. A link to the mindfulness practices you’ll experience within the program will be provided to you so that you can access them between sessions and after the program is completed.

This depends on the coverage available to you under your extended health benefits plan. You may have access to wellness benefits within your plan where such a program might be covered. It’s best to reach out to your insurance provider for confirmation.
